Back Stitch Video Tutorial

To do a backstitch, bring the needle up, stitch forward, then come up ahead and stitch back to the end of the previous stitch, creating a solid, continuous line.

But the technique will keep changing depending on the types of backstitch, and backstitch pattern. If you are more clear about the backstitch, then see the backstitch image it will clear your doubts.

Strongest Hand Stitch Video Tutorial

So, basically, do the strongest stitch by hand

  1. Keep stitches short and close together for extra reinforcement.
  2. Sew backwards into the previous stitch to lock it in place.
  3. Knot the thread tightly at the start and end of the stitching line.
  4. Add extra stitches in areas prone to strain.

So yes, the backstitch is the strongest stitch. So, if you use the backstitch correctly, then you will see that every type of backstitch is very popular among stitchers.

How To Do Blanket Stitch

There are many different blanket stitch styles but to do a basic blanket stitch

  1. Insert the needle at the top of the fabric edge, pull through to create a loop
  2. Then pass the needle through the loop for each stitch
  1. Adjust the stitches around corners by inserting the needle diagonally. But this angle can change depending on the decorative blanket stitch by hand.
  2. Run the needle under the first stitch, create a small knot
  3. Hide the thread between fabric layers, and trim the excess.

Blanket stitch images are stunning but mastering blanket stitch is kinda hard. So i hope this video will help you through.
